NTPC Southern Region Headquarters celebrated World Environment Day on June 5, 2024 with the theme “Land Restoration, Desertification and Drought Resilience” under the slogan “Our land. Our future. We are #GenerationRestoration”. During the event, Environment protection pledges in English & Hindi were administered by Shri B. Srinivasa Rao, ED (FGD) & Shri Subhramani Khadanga, CGM (PE-Civil), respectively. Speaking on the occasion, Shri B. Srinivasa Rao, ED (FGD) highlighted on the importance of environment sustainability, sustainable business practices & adopting eco-friendly lifestyle by optimal use of resources & energy.

During the occasion, ED (FGD) along with CGM & other GMs presented the awards to the winners of different competitions on environment. Distribution of Jute Bags was started to mark the occasion, which will subsequently cover all the employees & stakeholders.
